FIA and FOA are pleased to announce that the IDX Gala Dinner will, once again, be held in aid of Futures for Kids (FFK). Last year’s IDX Gala Dinner raised over £130,000 for FFK, while the inaugural dinner in 2008 raised £200,000. As well as being a valuable fundraising event for the futures industry, the Dinner also provides a valuable networking opportunity for those attending IDX 2010 and the international financial community.

Futures for Kids provides a fundraising vehicle through which this industry can raise money to benefit charities working to improve the lives of children around the world. To date, FFK has helped the industry raised £600,000 which has been distributed to three charities.

The three charities currently supported are:

• Demelza – providing hospice care to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families www.demelza.org.uk
• EveryChild – committed to protecting the rights of the world’s most vulnerable and excluded children across the world www.everychild.org.uk
• HopeHIV – offering life, hope and opportunity to Africa’s orphan generation www.hopehiv.org  

With your help, the 2010 IDX Gala Dinner could take the total raised by FFK to £1 million by the end of this year.
